KIDS SAY THE DARNEDEST THINGS

I love how literal kids are and how they view the world so matter of factly. A friend of mine told me that her nephew’s response to his mother when she told him to “behave,” was, “l AM being have!”

When my son was little we were in a park and when he saw a jumpy house and wanted to go in, I told him, “No, you can’t just go in. Those people don’t know us.” He replied, “Then I’ll tell them my name.”

Makes sense.

This afternoon on my way to dance class I saw this dramatic sky with rays of light breaking through the clouds. It reminded me of the time my brother was a toddler, and while riding in the car one day, he looked out the window, pointed to a similar dramatic sky phenomenon and said, “God!”

Yup.
